Which CRM fits your business: Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or Kinso
8 June 2026 · 3 min read
Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and Kinso CRM can all run a pipeline, manage accounts, and bill customers. Asking which is best in the abstract gets you nowhere - the honest answer depends on the shape of your business, the systems you already run, and how many people will touch it. Here is how we steer the choice.
Where Dynamics 365 fits
Choose Dynamics 365 when you already live in the Microsoft world. If your team runs on Microsoft 365, Teams, and Azure - and especially if finance or operations sit on the same stack - Dynamics keeps everything in one estate. It is strongest where CRM meets ERP: field service, supply chain, and finance under the same roof as sales. The trade is that it rewards a Microsoft-first organisation and can feel heavy if all you need is the sales side.
Where Salesforce fits
Choose Salesforce when sales is the centre of gravity. It has the deepest sales and service tooling of the three, the largest app marketplace, and a hiring pool of people who already know it. If you run complex pipelines, need a specific app off AgentExchange (formerly AppExchange), or want a platform your next hires have used before, it earns its place. The trade is cost and configuration - it is a powerful product you are still shaping to fit, and the per-seat bill climbs as you grow.
Where Kinso fits
Choose Kinso CRM when the licensed products fight your business instead of fitting it. It makes sense when you have many light-touch users and per-seat pricing punishes growth, when the way you run leads or billing is genuinely specific to you, or when you want to own the data and the code outright rather than rent them. You start from a platform we build and you keep - configured for your operation rather than bent into someone else's product.
A quick way to decide
If you want a shortcut, find the row that sounds most like you.
| Your situation | Start with |
|---|---|
| Microsoft 365, Teams, and Azure already in use | Dynamics 365 |
| Sales-led, complex pipelines, AgentExchange needs | Salesforce |
| Many light users, or the per-seat bill is biting | Kinso CRM |
| A process genuinely specific to your business | Kinso CRM |
| You want to own the data and the code | Kinso CRM |
| Smaller, marketing-led, with simple needs | HubSpot or similar |
Most setups end up hybrid
In practice the line is rarely clean. Plenty of our clients run Dynamics or Salesforce where the standard product fits and Kinso or custom builds where it does not, connected so they act as one system. The platform is a starting point, not a cage.
If you are weighing this up, the deeper question is often whether to license at all or own the thing outright. We pulled that apart in Owned vs licensed: when Kinso CRM beats Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.
